We'll be writing letters to deployed soldiers that will be sent through the Hugs for Soldiers program - sharing encouragement, appreciation, and a little piece of home with those serving far away.

Malena Arner Handeen is owner and proprietor of the Loose Tooth Saloon, an outpost of art and culture on the Chippewa River near Milan in west-central Minnesota. A variety of creative processes are executed by her therein including charcoal figurative drawing, portraiture, block printing, oil painting, as well as songwriting and singing with her own accompaniment. She has headlined entertainment lineups at many organic and sustainable farming conferences as well as heaps of gigs at the bars, fairs and churches of the region with various backing bands, most notably the Field of Medicine with whom she performs originals.
